REVERSE BILLING SMS

Short code numbers (for example 54045) can be used as a convenient way of allowing your customers to contact you or as a way of charging mobile phone users when they receive your messages. This process is known as reverse billing.

Short Code Service

The Short Code Service does not always mean you have to charge your customers for receiving messages. This is at your discretion and many customers use the service as a way of enabling their customers to keep in touch with them without having to remember lengthy mobile numbers. Short codes that are easy to remember are more likely to get used frequently.

The charging side of the Short Code Service is useful if companies are running competitions where the winnings are paid for by the competitors. This is also a good money generator when you are encouraging people to vote on something or for them to receive results or requested information such as news or football results.

When using Reverse Billing, the cost of the service is charged to the mobile phone user, with a percentage of the charge being received back by you, as the number provider, as an Out-payment.
